Jesus Lopez was born in Madrid. From a very young age, he loved drawing, often by copying superheroes from comics and inventing new characters.
He studied cinema at a film academy in Madrid and made several short films. Since 2000 he has worked as a freelance illustrator for several European publishers. His great passions are drawing, cinema, nature, and his little daughter Paula. He always works while listening to something, most of the time to podcasts of film, art and history or music. He loves film soundtracks, Bob Dylan, and pop rock of the 70’s-80’s. He currently lives in a small town 50 km from Madrid, with his wife and his daughter.
