Meet our new Yeon Artist, Alina Slyshik!

Alina is a published illustrator from Slovakia with a great passion for children’s books. She loves drawing character-driven illustrations using fun color combinations and textures, and a little help from her graphic design degree. Adobe Photoshop and Procreate are her best friends (Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator are just friends). She enjoys drawing children, animals, and whimsical creatures. Her favorite types of illustrations are those that show lots of characters interacting with each other.

Alina has worked on projects for Phoenix+, Phoenix Premiere, Cocobee, Bear Tale Books, and Nagwa Readers. Her dream project is to illustrate a children’s detective book with extraordinary characters and an unexpected plot twist. She enjoys watching bizarre movies, reading books, and playing video games. In a parallel universe, she sees herself as a detective solving crimes or a marine biologist looking for undiscovered underwater creatures.
