Winna was born in Surakarta, Indonesia. When she was young, her family moved around Java, from a small village to a metropolitan city. Winna had many friends growing up from different cultures, religions, and ethnic groups that influenced the ways she thought and draws. She has loved drawing and reading since she was a little girl. Her favorite books from her childhood are the Woodland Folks series by Tony Wolf and books by Enid Blyton. Winna has been working as a freelance illustrator for a few years now.
