Ryan Barr is a digital cartoonist and illustrator born and raised in New Jersey. From his childhood, Ryan developed a love for drawing superheroes and cartoons that took him all the way through to his graduation from the University of the Arts with a BFA in illustration in 2014.
Ryan’s artwork appeals to audiences of all ages. He’s very passionate about creating clear visual storytelling through his shaped-based character work, and he uses texture to add an extra layer of dimension. His inspirations include children's book illustrators and comic book artists from the 50’s and 60’s, as well as film and television. When he’s not at the drawing table, he works as a teen mentor at the Alex’s Place Teen Center on Martha’s Vineyard and teaches cartooning on weekends.View Full Bio
