Paola was born in Barranquilla, Colombia where she is also currently based. She discovered her love for children’s books only after she graduated from art school as a visual artist. Her fascination with illustration lead her to make it her profession. Initially, she participated in workshops and diplomas to get closer to illustration. Over the past few years, she has illustrated a number of children's books and worked on various cultural projects. She works entirely on photoshop but also loves creating with traditional media like gouache, pastels and coloured pencils. Paola creates colourful illustrations full of fun and imaginative details. She loves designing lovely and strong characters, including animals and imaginary beings, endowed with personality and a very particular inner world.View Full Bio
