We are happy to debut another new artist, Georgiana Chitac！ Georgiana is a Romanian illustrator who paints in ink and watercolors. Her animal characters are especially popular in East Asia！

Georgiana was born in 1980, in Constanta, a city on the Black Sea shore. She lived there until she turned 17 and then moved to Bucharest, the Romanian capital. She has been involved in art since the age of 10 but followed a degree in Economics. A path she didn't pursue after all and soon returned to the biggest passion of her life - art. She started illustrating in 2009 after her first child was born, with her work being highly influenced by her daughter’s presence in her life. Her illustrations are located on the thin line between fantasy and reality. She always liked exploring various techniques and themes. Nowadays she uses more and more digital means, but her heart still goes with the traditional techniques, like ink and watercolour. Georgiana is a member of the Romanian Illustrators Club since 2012, and has illustrated several children's books over the years. Her illustrations were shortlisted in Nami Concours/2015 and were among the finalists of the Bologna Children’s Book Exhibition/ 2021. Georgiana also likes creating illustrations for editorial or commercial use. Some of her clients are: Unicef, Cărturești, Cineplexx, BRD – Groupe Societe Generale, ING, Ecotic, Cotroceni Museum, Michelin, Coca Cola, Danone, DOR- magazine, Scena9
