Laura Pizzasegale (LaPiz) is an Italian illustrator and character designer from Monza. Despite graduating with a degree in Foreign Languages, illustration has always been her passion. She has developed her cartoony style packed with multiple references to music, movies, photography, and humor. Laura usually starts from ‘classic’ iconographies, twisting and mixing them with contemporary elements, and others recognizable to a niche of ‘quote-lovers’.
Laura works digitally, illustrating for children’s and YA books, educational textbooks, editorials, and magazines. She has previously worked with children’s magazines (Storytime Mag, La Nottola...) and books (Rusconi editions, among others). Laura has also won multiple competitions for her illustrations, including Prato di Fiabe, Lucca Jr, Orvieto Cinema fest, and Tapirulan. When not drawing, she daydreams about living in a big cottage in the moorlands, furnished by director Wes Anderson, while listening to some groovy soul music and softly sipping hot green tea.View Full Bio
