Chie lives in Japan with her husband and thirteen years old son. She loved to draw since a very young age. When she was little, Chie used to look forward to visiting her cousin who lived in an American military base in Japan and her taste and preferences have been strongly influenced by what she saw and experienced at that time. She bought her first Apple computer while in college and started working on digital illustrations right away. This is when she realised she wanted to follow a career in illustration, with her first illustration job being for the email software PostPet. Since then Chie has worked on various projects including illustrations for OPEN-chan, a character of Seven-Eleven in Taiwan, and for Shimajiro, a character very popular among Japanese infants, as well as movie and animation.
