Ana Salopek lives in Ogulin. She is a proud mum of a five-year-old girl, who occasionally borrows her daughter's world view whereby she is enlightened on what truly matters in life. She creates and exhibits under her real name, Ana Salopek, as well as her pseudonym, gospođica ura. She expresses her love for music, dancing to Jack White and Pink Floyd’s masterpieces. Her illustrations cover a wide range of topics from ecology, human values and emotional expressions, to literal understanding and visual representation of a word play by moving the boundaries of reality, allowing her inner child to express itself. She uses books as her private time machine. She creates using digital techniques as they give her more freedom and they do not bind her to a single place.
She wonders: Does the bird feel captivated in its freedom? Do expectations differ? What colour is nihilism?
